We make the pie dough by hand to produce a flaky crust. The Apple Pecan Crisp Crumble Pie, Chocolate Pecan Pie and Lemon Meringue Pie are all baked with this traditional pastry. We have introduced another pie dough made with butter and cream cheese. This pastry is used for the pies baked with the vanilla butter custard. In late spring, this pie always features apples with the addition of strawberries, raspberries or blueberries. The pastry has the butter, cream cheese richness and the flaky texture wanted in a pie — an excellent combination of flavours with the assorted fruit. A selection of the 7" pies, serving six are baked daily. You can come in and choose, or call to reserve your pie for a convenient pick-up time throughout the day. For the larger 11" pie serving twelve, we do need three days advance planning. A printer‐friendly version of our spring menu lists all of the pies and other desserts that can be ordered for the season.
